Foam rubber pads are typically placed around or over bony protuberances to prevent fluid build-up in that area. They can also be used to amplify compression in certain areas, and soften fibrosis. Made of synthetic latex, pads can be trimmed to any size or shape. This material is air and water permeable. Komprex Foam has been clinically shown to increase the depth and strength of compression.
The oval shaped pad can be used anywhere. The kidney shape can be used anywhere as well, but is designed for use behind the ankle bone.
