Medium and Long Stretch Bandages are very similar to the traditional sport bandages or "Ace" bandages. These bandages are soft, flexible and have a great deal of stretch. Doctors and physical therapists frequently use this style of bandage for sports injuries, splinting, or wound dressings. Long Stretch bandages, in particular, are often used to support musclies, ligaments and tendons.
This style of bandage can stretch greater than 140% of their original length, which means they're comfortable and can easily fit any limb or shape. This also means that they will not provide resistence against swelling and edema. For that reason, medium and long stretch bandages are not recommended for treating lymphedema. Customers should look at Short Stretch Bandages instead.
